David Taylor, President 

Aviation and engineering are in David Taylor’s blood. His father started Velcon Filters and that’s where David got his own start, back in 1979. He learned the business from the Tarmac up, first as an industrial engineer then as plant manager. In 1987, he became regional sales manager. That experience, traveling the country and meeting with clients, greatly shaped his view of customer service and product delivery. Later, as Velcon’s president, he instituted customer processes that set the industry standard for service, delivery and distributor accountability. As president of PEAR, David connects with customers as he always has—shaping programs, delivery and responsiveness to meet their changing demands. He also works extensively on the product side, using his deep industry knowledge to deliver excellent products. When he’s not working, David will likely be fishing the Bitterroot River or skiing Lost Trail Powder Mountain, depending on the season. 

Chase Taylor, Vice President 

Chase has been working in aviation fueling since 2005. He also holds a bachelor’s in communication and a master’s in marketing and organizational leadership. While working with his father at Velcon, Chase led the marketing efforts, including trade show participation, digital communications and customer programs. As vice president of PEAR, Chase directs all strategy, planning, operations and contract negotiations for the company. He also spends significant time in the field, meeting with clients to better understand their needs and improve the delivery of PEAR products and services. Chase lives in Missoula, Montana, and enjoys golf, kayaking, skiing and spending time with his family.

Dennis Thompson

Dennis Thompson joined PEAR in 2012 after more than 30 years in the aviation refueling business, first at Facet Enterprises (now PECOFacet), then later at Parker Racor Hydrocarbon Filtration and Velcon Filters. From a start as a design drafter, during most of his career Dennis has led sales and service efforts, developing a firm belief that exceptional customer service is a requirement, not an option. At PEAR, Dennis heads up our sales and service division, where his careful attention to customer needs and commitment to service make him a true asset to our customers, sales staff and bottom line.

Andrew Thompson, Sales and Engineering Associate

Andrew Thompson’s aviation career took off in 2007 at Velcon Filters where he worked in the lab, performing quality checks, testing and analyses on new and spent elements. In 2010 Andrew was promoted to aviation electronics and sensors technician, sending him into the field to conduct sensor installation, calibration, training, troubleshooting and repair. Andrew joined PEAR in 2012 as a sales and engineering associate. His background in the lab, time in the field and depth of product knowledge make him a valuable resource for PEAR customers.
